Naveed’s aspirational personal mission statement is to create a just, peaceful, prosperous world by helping all beings realize their full potential.
Naveed believes the biggest challenge in American healthcare is our inability to prevent chronic illness despite knowing how (e.g., not smoking prevents lung disease). It’s this belief that led him to become obsessed with behavior change and healthy habits. He’s installed numerous habits on himself including conquering his depression by establishing a rigorous sleep schedule and meditation routine.
He’s currently the co-founder and CEO of Flourish, where he manages all day-to-day activities of the company and also directly coaches Flourish clients. He’s been certified by Dr. BJ Fogg as a Tiny Habits Expert Coach.
Prior to co-founding Flourish, Naveed was a healthcare executive focusing on innovative care delivery and business models. He was most recently a Director at Davita Medical Group (formerly Healthcare Partners), specializing in value-based care programs and payer negotiations. He also was an early employee at Augmedix, where he was the Head of Market Development and Analytics.
In previous careers he advised the Gates Foundation on how to spend $1.5B in sub-saharan African agriculture and conducted nuclear fusion research at Princeton’s Plasma Physics Laboratory. He began his career at Bain & Company.
In his spare time, he’s the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Minds Matter of San Francisco, a mentorship non-profit that he co-founded.
Naveed holds a B.S. with High Honors in Engineering Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
